We believe in being a good neighbor by being involved in our neighborhood! We do this, in part, by reaching out to the schools next door: Plymouth and Northeast

  • As part of a city-wide program, our volunteers fill backpacks with food to send home with school children that have been identified by local schools as having a need.  We call this our Back Pack Program.
  • We have an annual Continental Breakfast, on the first day of school, where we offer a free breakfast to teachers, students and parents as they walk to school.
  • Our church family is involved in Northeast's annual Clothing Drive. Clothing, shoes, and funds are given to help students start the school year well. Our volunteers work side-by-side with school staff and other volunteers to work during the clothing drive, and during the school year to keep their clothing closet filled.

  • FBC members are involved in coaching a "Girls on the Run" group from Plymouth.  This is an exercise program at local schools supported by Shelterhouse and the community.  When weather does not permit students to exercise outside they utilize our building.
